As usual, we didn't mind.
Neither did the kitties.
He's the biggest Mama's boy ever, but I sure do love my teddy bear cat.
He slept there ALL DAY. He didn't even budge to eat lunch.
The hardest, most torturous part was waiting for the bread to bake, especially when it smelled so amazing. For 45 mouth-watering minutes while the bread was in the oven our home smelled like autumn, a french bakery, and home, all rolled into one.
-- My brother's bday! A perk of living 14+ hrs ahead: I always get to be the first person to wish any of my friends or family a happy birthday. And if I forget, I have a day to remember! Happy bday, bro!
-- Finally booked a room for our trip to Japan next weekend. I'm excited to finally get to go to Japan and most of all to experience it with Sly! I'll need to stick to my watermelon diet this week as I'm pretty sure I'll be stuffing myself with as mch Japanese food as I can get my hands on.
-- Longhorn football. It's still pretty wacky that I am watching the game at more or less the same time as my friends and family back in the states. It's pretty awesome that we live in different states and countries but I am still able to connect with them every week over a game of college football.
-- Watched the Dr. Who Season 9 premiere. Love that show.
-- Sly's work trip was canceled at the last minute! YES! I hate when our weekends are cut short by Sly's work travel -- it reminds me of when we were in a bi-coastal long distance relationship and had to say goodbye every Sunday. Even now the thought of it makes me cringe. I was pretty excited about the change in plans -- more time to be slugs!
